Believe

The other night I saw on the news a story about a firefighter from AZ. He was out elk hunting and there were 60 mph winds that caused a tree to fall down onto his tent instantly killing him. He has a wife and 3 young kids. It must be so hard for this family to lose a loved one so close to the holidays. It does make me feel better to know that they have the same religious belief as I do and they do believe that families are forever and they will be reunited once again. But it still makes me wonder, How can I help?

Well I went to check for blog updates this morning of people's blogs I follow and I noticed that Summertime Designs was updated, which is a digital scrapbooking blog I follow. This wonderful women creates digital scrapbook kits and lets you download them for FREE. But you can also make donations. Well she has made this year's Christmas Kit in honor of this sweet family. And any donations made will go to help this family. The name of the kit is called Believe. Go here to read the entire story and also to download your free digital scrapbook kit and then DONATE to this wonderful family.

This once again reminds me how precious are time on earth really is. To really try and live each day to the fullest and cherish the moments we have with our family and friends. Sometimes as much as I wish that it would all just go by fast so that Kooper can be in my arms again. I remind myself that I should savor these moments and make good memories with my family and friends now and I will have that chance to make more memories with Kooper one day.

Turn that frown upside down!

Today has been one of those days where you are scared to even leave your house because you have had such a horrible day. You think it will only get worse. But I finally decided that I needed to get out of the house and visit my favorite store that I haven't been to in over 2 weeks...TARGET! It turned my day around. On the way home Kade and Kamryn fell asleep and they are sleeping as I type. I also got to do a digital scrapbook page which was some good therapy for me. Kamryn kept making a little noise every once in a while when I was doing this page, but I think her big brother Kooper knew that I needed a little mommy time and helped her stay asleep. All day all she has wanted was to be held. It doesn't bother me because that was all I wanted a year ago, was to hold a sweet baby in my arms. The only problem with that is that I can't get a whole lot done with the princess in my arms...the sleepy wrap helps though!

I feel much better now. Not because I went to Target, but because when I get to scrapbook about Kooper or talk about him, or just have thoughts without interruption about him, I feel like that is the way I can show him how much I love and miss him. It is my way of spending time with him. It was just what I needed to turn my sad frown upside down!

Halloween Acrylic Album

A few weeks ago I went to a scrapbook convention with Kerry and Amy from my ward. It was tons of fun. I wish I had lots of money to buy all the cute things that were there. I came across this cute acrylic Halloween album and told myself, "No you have spent more than enough money today." So while Kerry and Amy spent time looking in that booth I stayed back and thought I would keep myself from buying. So to keep me busy I called Ryan. I told him how good I was being by staying back and not tempting myself by looking at it. Then Kerry decided to buy it. I really wanted it so I justified it saying, "It will be just like a Halloween decoration. I can put it out with all my Halloween stuff and then put it away every year." So after much contemplation I bought it! I never regreted it since, so that's always a plus since I am an impulse buyer! Ask anyone in my family. I usually return 50% of the things I purchase. Unless it is food for the family!

So Kerry, Connie (Kerry's best friend), and I got together today to put together our cute albums. It was tons of fun and now I feel like I have accomplished something today! My album is a progressive one. I am going to add a photo every year. It all starts with Kade's first Halloween. There are a few pages that aren't complete because I have to wait for the picture first, but I thought I would show it off.

Kade's 1st Halloween as Tigger!

Kade's 2nd as a skeleton and 3rd as Buzz Lightyear!

His 3rd Halloween decorating pumpkins!

Below are all the unfinished pages.

THE END!
